6/18/2023 EnchantaVaughn Approved 1.Behavior: QMHP-C greeted Anthony upon arrival to the home setting. Upon arrival to the home setting, Anthony appeared to be in a good mood. Mother reports Anthony continues to struggle with managing his anger as he fights on his siblings. 2. Behavior: presented hyperactive behaviors at times within the session as he was hitting his brother during session. 1.Intervention: QMHP-C reviewed the steps for anger control with Anthony. QMHP-C provided Anthony with an example of statements that Anthony could make for each step was modeled for him. QMHP-C challenged Anthony to think and verbalize statements that he would use if placed in a particular situation in which he had to try and control his anger. QMHP-C taught Anthony about how his thoughts can influence his feelings and behavior through the use of role play and modeling different scenarios. 2. Intervention: QMHP-C gave Anthony an example of someone bumping into him and him telling himself that he did it on purpose, and then he would be more likely to get upset. QMHP-C presented Anthony with a list of several anger management role-play scenarios. QMHP-C played the person who was trying to keep from getting angry first. QMHP-C made sure that he modeled the coping skill of self-talk out loud. QMHP-C role-played a scenario and QMHP-C had Anthony practice the coping skills to control anger. 1. Response: Anthony appeared to be receptive to QMHP-Cs’ interventions and services that were provided during the session. During Anthony’s role-playing, he implemented several coping skills to include: removing himself away from the situation, deep breathing, using self-talk, etc. Anthony told QMHP-C that he uses self-talk a lot now, but he never knew it was considered a coping skill. 2. Response: Anthony stated that the best coping skill that he uses now when in a heated situation is just to walk away. However, he stated that he gets in trouble sometimes when he does this because others feel as if he is trying to be disrespectful. Anthony admitted that he can still be very verbally aggressive, but he thought this was better than being physically aggressive. Anthony had an understanding that if he cannot control his anger, it could lead to serious consequences.
